Last 2011 we have been contacted by the artist Beppe Bonetti, who, starting from the idea of infinite space, projected some spheres which, from one side, represent the fragment of a more extended universe, and from the other side, they represent an independent world.

How did we cooperate with Mr Beppe Bonetti? We realized three steel and oven-painted spheres of huge dimension and other smaller 50 spheres, which have been shown during the 54th edition of Biennale di Venezia.

The project acquires its name from a mistake of Parmenide, a 500 B.C. Greek philosopher. According to Parmenide, the truth is round and the sphere is synonymous of perfection: it always remains similar to itself wherever we look it from. What is external to the sphere is a “not-being”. But if an external space exists, how could we deny the presence of small elements in that space? It could be possible to find some objects..and here the supposed mistake is.

Beppe Bonetti re-elaborated this conceptual mistake by giving importance to dashes, colours and fragments which cross together and which exist beyond the sphere border. The charm of the artwork is given by the “not-being” concept.
